Our Model
We see ourselves as a platform. While there are many youth and social groups in Singapore that work on issues like the environment, HIV, poverty, etc - there isn't such a community-led common space to share ideas, develop partnerships to create change. That where Syinc comes in. We aim to serve these groups - working on their respective causes - so that more groups can connect, collaborate, share resources and build their capacities to do the good work that they do.
How It's Different
It's the idea of an "eco-system": We don't just create isolated, stand-alone programmes (which are fine and good on their own nonetheless); we create an environment for social change. Each of our programmes works with the others to become part of a larger system that, collectively, makes a space that is conducive to young people connecting with others and innovating solutions for the public good.
For example, Pangea Day builds a community that can be developed through SYINConnect, which in turn can serve as a platform for SYINCubate project proposals.
